Ingredients:
- 500g beef sirloin
- 1 lemongrass stalk
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 purple onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of MSG
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of cooking oil
- A handful of herbs (coriander, Vietnamese balm, Vietnamese perilla…)
Instructions:
- Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and marinate with 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Mix well and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
- Finely chop the lemongrass and red chili pepper.
- Finely chop the purple onion and garlic.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan and sauté the purple onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the beef and stir-fry until it is cooked and has a nice color.
- Add the lemongrass and red chili pepper to the pan and stir-fry with the beef.
- Add 1 tablespoon of MSG and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes.
